Maya Mare

Maya Mare is an indoor and outdoor leisure bath in Halle (Saale), in the German state of Sachsen-Anhalt. It opened on 1 April 1999 and is operated by Stadtwerke Halle, the city's municipal utility. The park is styled throughout in a Mexican theme.

The water area covers about 1,331 square metres. Features include a wave pool of around 385 square metres, a 130-metre flow channel, a heated outdoor pool, whirlpools, and a children's area called Tulumaya with a 35 °C baby pool. Four named slides form the Kukulkan slide world: Kukulkan (tube slide with sound and light projection), Cabracan (competition slide with time measurement), Xibalba (high-speed slide, age 8+) and Káwil (Smart-Slide with touchpoints and light effects).

Sauna and services

A sauna landscape of some 2,500 square metres, styled as a Mexican village, holds nine saunas: Solegrotte salt grotto (30 °C), Temazcal steam bath (46 °C), Mérida (60 °C), a herbal sauna (60 °C), Aztekensauna (80 °C), Villa Mexico (80 °C), the Finnish-style Cobá (90 °C), Keloblockhaus (100 °C) and the unheated social room Casa Calor. The two-storey Ruhevilla Mayapán serves as a rest villa. There is a sauna restaurant, a wellness area offering massages, and the Viva mare fitness club with EGYM, Smart-Flex, Hammer Strength and Life Fitness equipment plus 30-plus weekly group classes.
