Maya Mare

Maya Mare is an indoor and outdoor leisure bath in Halle (Saale), in the German state of Sachsen-Anhalt. It opened on 1 April 1999 and is operated by Stadtwerke Halle, the city's municipal utility. The park is styled throughout in a Mexican theme and reports roughly 350,000 visitors each year.

The water area covers about 1,331 square metres. Features include a wave pool of around 385 square metres, a 130-metre flow channel, a heated outdoor pool, whirlpools, and a children's area called Tulumaya. Several water slides run through the complex, ranging up to about 140 metres in length, including a black-hole-style ride with light effects.

Sauna and services

A sauna landscape of some 2,500 square metres holds nine saunas, laid out as a Mexican village and including a salt grotto and a herbal sauna. There is also a self-service restaurant, a wellness area and an on-site fitness centre.
