Kristall Sauna-Wellnesspark mit Soletherme Bad Klosterlausnitz

Kristall Sauna-Wellnesspark with its Soletherme is a thermal brine bath at Bad Klosterlausnitz in Thuringia. The water carries an official medicinal certification, and the bath is built around brine at three different strengths, from a gentle dilution up to a 12% pool.

Indoor pools

Four basins run at 31 °C on the gentle brine: the main thermal pool, whose water is passed over gemstones and through a Grander revitalisation system, a current channel, a water mushroom for children and a wave pool with waves on the hour. A second thermal pool holds a 3% brine at 33 °C, which the venue relates to the joints and the respiratory system, and a soda pool at 36 °C is run as an alkaline bath for the metabolism and the skin. Two whirlpools are also at 36 °C, a parent-and-child pool with play equipment at 33 °C, and Kneipp and foot basins hold cold water at 11 °C.

Outdoor pools

Outside, the 3% brine pool continues from indoors at 33 °C and a gentle-brine pool at the same temperature looks out towards the lake and the monastery. The strongest pool holds a 12% brine at 36 °C, dense enough to float in. Massage loungers and bubble seats are set into the water, and a cold plunge fountain stands at 11 °C.

Programme

Water sessions are included in the admission: Aqua-Fit at 10:45, aqua stretching at 13:00 and Aqua-Energy at 16:15, with a 30-minute Aqua Zumba on Friday afternoons.

The water and its uses

Pool temperatures run from 31 to 36 °C. According to the venue the water is used for skin complaints.

Visiting

The bath opens daily at 09:00, closing at 22:00 and an hour later on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. It is at Köstritzer Straße 16.
