About

Havel-Therme is a thermal bath at Werder an der Havel in Brandenburg, west of Berlin. It is split into three parts sold separately: the Thermenwelt with its brine pools, a Saunawelt, and a sport and family pool that keeps its own hours.

Pools

The large indoor basin holds 65 m² at 34 °C, 1.30 m deep, with massage jets. Beside it a 75 m² basin at 36 °C carries underwater stools at a pool bar. Three small spring basins of 7.5, 9.5 and 10 m² run hotter, from 34 up to 40 °C, and are partly saline. Outdoors the largest basin holds 235 m² at 34 °C, again 1.30 m deep, with a current channel, jet benches, a neck shower and a Kneipp pool.

Steam and sauna

The Finca sauna runs at about 80 °C with low humidity. Two steam baths sit at the other end of the range: a Mauresque room at about 42 °C and an Ottoman room at about 47 °C, both at high humidity. These are used with swimwear; the Saunawelt is sold as a separate ticket that also covers the thermal bath and the sport pool.

Age limits

Visitors up to and including 14 must be accompanied by an adult, or from the age of 12 with written parental permission.

Visiting

The thermal bath and sauna open daily at 09:00, closing at midnight from Sunday to Thursday and at 01:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. The sport and family pool runs 09:00 to 21:00, opening at 07:00 on Wednesdays for early swimming. Last admission is two hours before closing. The Thermenwelt costs 27.50 EUR for two hours, 32.50 EUR for four and 37.50 EUR for a day on weekdays, rising to 30.00, 35.00 and 40.00 EUR at weekends, on holidays and in the school breaks; the Saunawelt is 5 EUR more in each case. The sport and family pool is much cheaper, from 9.00 EUR for two hours on a weekday, with reduced rates for children aged 3 to 17. Eleven-entry cards are sold at ten times the single price.
