H2O Herford

H2O is a sport and leisure bath in Herford, North Rhine-Westphalia, run by the municipal utility Stadtwerke Herford. It opened in October 1997 and covers more than 3,500 square metres, of which about 1,400 square metres is water surface.

Pools and slides

The site has a 25-metre sports pool at 28 degrees with a diving tower, a wave pool with a current channel, and a year-round heated outdoor pool at 32 degrees. Two slides run through the building: the 146-metre Jungle-Cone and the 110-metre Thunderbird, added in November 2014 with LED screens showing several scenarios. A jungle-themed children's island called Tabokiri covers about 400 square metres.

Sauna

The sauna landscape spans over 5,000 square metres with twelve saunas at temperatures from 45 to 100 degrees, including a snow cabin held at minus 12 degrees that was added in October 2019.
