A Balinese-themed thermal bath at Bad Oeynhausen with six free aqua classes a week, no reservation needed, and a strict set of rules about children.

About

Bali Therme is a thermal bath at Bad Oeynhausen, in North Rhine-Westphalia. The building is furnished in a Balinese style, which is where the name comes from.

Visiting

No reservation is needed for the baths; massages must be booked by telephone. Six aqua classes a week are included in the ticket — four late-morning sessions and two in the evening. A water bed with a blanket and tea can be reserved for the day at 15 EUR.

The rules about children are unusually specific. Under-3s enter free. Under-16s may only enter with an adult, and 12- to 16-year-olds need written permission and a copy of a guardian's identity document. Under-12s are not admitted to the sauna area at all. Companions of visitors whose disability card carries a "B" enter free.

At weekends and on North Rhine-Westphalian public holidays every tariff carries a 3 EUR surcharge. Staying beyond the time booked moves you automatically to the next tariff up, and a lost locker key costs 25 EUR.
