Water parkPirmasens, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany

PLUB is Pirmasens' municipal leisure bath, pairing an indoor hall of roughly 1,200 square metres of water with an 80-metre high-speed tunnel slide and a separate open-air bath, all on plain heated water and with no sauna.

About

PLUB, the Pirmasenser Luft- und Badepark, is the municipal bath of Pirmasens and combines an indoor hall with a separate open-air bath on one site. The operator describes the indoor area as laid out over more than 3,000 square metres, of which 1,200 square metres are water surface, with pools held at differing temperatures; no single figure for the bath as a whole is published. The water is plain heated water. Neither the homepage nor the pool pages mention thermal water, a spring or brine, and the site's own keyword set for the indoor bath runs to pools, whirlpools and a slide rather than to any mineral water.

The pools the operator lists indoors are a 25-metre sport pool at 27 degrees, a Bewegungsbecken fed by wall spouts, massage jets and floor bubblers, an Erlebnisbecken carrying a scale replica of the Teufelstisch rock with a waterfall that switches in intervals into a massage mushroom, an Aktionsbecken where the slide lands, a non-swimmers' pool, a children's area with a paddling pool, a whirlpool, a hot whirlpool and an outdoor pool heated all year that is reached from inside through a swim-through channel and fitted with massage jets and whirl loungers. The single slide is a high-speed giant tunnel slide of more than 80 metres, reached by its own tower and climbed again by a spiral staircase. There is no sauna: the operator's rest offer is two heated benches, a sun lawn with infrared radiant heaters, a solarium, and fitness and aqua courses.

The open-air bath adds a diving facility, a wide slide, whirl loungers, a climbing wall, beach ball, a children's area, a playground, a lawn and a kiosk. The two halves alternate by season. The hours page gives the open-air season as 1 June 2026 to 13 September 2026, daily 08:00 to 20:00, with admission until 18:45 and the pools usable until half an hour before closing. A notice dated 10 September 2026 states that the indoor bath starts its winter season on Monday 14 September at 12:00 and that Sunday and holiday hours for the winter have been changed to 09:00 to 19:00; the hours page itself still shows only the open-air timetable. The same notice reports that the indoor bath stayed shut for the whole summer for fire-protection work and new changing cabins, that the cabins arrive late and open-air changing rooms are used in the meantime, and that a leak was found in the outdoor pool, which therefore cannot currently be released for use. No admission prices are published: the Preise page carries no price content.
