Beroun's municipal water complex on the island in the Berounka, half an hour from Prague: a six-lane 25 m pool next to a 30 °C leisure pool with a wave cave, a 35 °C whirlpool, three slides up to 78 m, two saunas and a separate summer lido.

About

Tipsport Laguna is the municipal swimming complex of Beroun, built on the island in the Berounka about 30 km south-west of Prague and run by the town's sports company Berounská sportovní. It combines a competition pool, a leisure-water hall, an ice stadium, a gym and a summer lido on one site, which is what makes it read as an aquapark rather than a plain town baths. The sports half is a 25 by 12.5 m pool with six lanes and depths of 120 to 160 cm, with a spectator stand above it, used for club racing, public lane swimming and aqua-aerobics.

The play half is arranged around a relax pool kept at 30 °C and 1.1 to 1.3 m deep, fitted with massage beds, a water seat, a floor geyser, spouts, fountains, a cave with a wave machine and underwater light effects, with loungers set out around the edge. Beside it a whirlpool runs at 35 °C in twenty-minute cycles for up to fifteen people, with adjustable massage jets. Children have a separate 30 °C pool with a paddling area 0.6 to 0.9 m deep, a small slide, a water mushroom and spouts, and there is a Kneipp treading walk where bathers wade through alternating warm and cold basins. Three slides feed the hall: a 78 m outdoor flume, a 58 m tube ride billed as wild water, and a 15 m double slide. A steam room, a sunbathing terrace and a bistro with indoor and outdoor seating complete the level.

On the floor above, the Laguna Klub runs two sauna cabins, each taking up to twelve people, with a cooling room holding a plunge pool and showers, a rest room with six loungers, a solarium, a massage room, a 100 m² studio for group classes and a 100 m² gym. The sauna is mixed and keeps a timetable of its own, including women-only blocks on Tuesday and Friday afternoons, and can be booked outside those hours with an hour's notice. The outdoor lido on Karla Čapka street is a separate operation with its own reception and tickets; its water temperature is measured every Friday and published on the site, and two lawns are set aside for lying out. Children under ten need an adult with them, and infants under one year are not allowed into the water at all, on hygiene grounds.
