Termály Losiny

Termály Losiny is a thermal park in Velké Losiny in the Olomouc Region, run within the Royal Spa group alongside the town's older spa houses. The operator describes it as a "Unikátní termální park. Jediný svého druhu v České republice." Its water is sulphurous: the site states that five mineral springs rise in the territory of Velké Losiny, the most important being the thermal sulphur spring Žerotín and the cold sulphur spring Karel, and that "Teplota termálních vod u vývěru se pohybuje kolem 36°C." All the pools, indoor and outdoor, are supplied from the natural thermal spring Žerotín, which the operator says rises from a depth of more than 1,000 metres. On composition the site is unusually specific: the warm and cold springs have almost identical composition and the principal therapeutic element is hydrogen sulphide, HS-, at 4.507 mg/l. Bathers are warned that silver blackens in sulphurous thermal water.

The bathing area holds nine thermal pools with water up to 36 °C. Five are indoors: a large activity pool with wild water, water spouts and a cave with a waterfall; a relaxation pool with massage seats and loungers; a thermal pool with the warmest water; a panoramic pool with a relaxation zone; a children's pool with a slide, water hedgehog and jets; plus an indoor water slide. Four more are outdoors: a large activity pool with a slide, spouts and a water umbrella, a relaxation pool with massage seats, a children's pool with a slide, jets and a mushroom fountain, and a channel pool leading through to the indoor hall. The outdoor pools run only in the summer season, which the operator gives as May to September depending on weather (the pool page words this as the end of May to September, a slight discrepancy between the two pages).

The sauna world offers four types of sauna — a Finnish sauna at 92–95 °C with 10% humidity and capacity for 14–16 people, a steam sauna at 45 °C with almost 100% humidity, an aroma sauna whose steam is enriched with eucalyptus and menthol, and an ice room at roughly 0–5 °C for cooling down. Sauna entry can only be bought together with pool entry and the sauna world is open to visitors aged 15 and over; the operator recommends one hour inside because of limited capacity. Massages are arranged on site at the wellness reception on the first floor. For the effects of the water the operator names hydrotherapy with positive effects in the treatment of locomotor, neurological and skin diseases, relaxation, exercise in the thermal pools, and drinking-cure use of a mineral water rich in calcium, sodium, magnesium, potassium and iron. In the low season that began on 1 September the thermal pools are closed on Monday and open 10:00–20:00 from Tuesday to Sunday, with the restaurant closing at 19:30 and wellness at 19:00. The operator reports more than 250,000 visitors in 2025.
