Centrum zdraví Bohuňovice

Centrum zdravi Bohunovice is a small indoor bathing and leisure complex in the village of Bohunovice, a few minutes north of Olomouc in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. The operator describes it as a family aquapark and runs it alongside a guesthouse, a bistro, a gym, a solarium, massage rooms and a swimming school on the same site. Its municipal character is visible in its contact details, which use the Bohunovice village domain. Despite the name, which translates as health centre, it is not a medical facility: admission is by ordinary day or time ticket and no page mentions a prescription, referral or medical indication as a condition of entry.

The water zone consists of two interconnected pools. The relaxation pool runs from 0.3 to 1.22 m deep and carries the leisure fittings, with internal water spouts and a water mushroom. The swimming pool beside it is 16.67 m long and 5.2 m wide, with three lanes, a depth of 1.2 to 1.6 m and a counter-current installation. A separate children's pool serves the smallest visitors, and a water slide provides the only substantial ride. A wet bar stands directly at the poolside, and guests staying in the rooms and apartments on site can reach the water without going outdoors.

Two heat rooms adjoin the water. The steam bath is run at roughly 40 to 45 degrees with humidity approaching 100 per cent, low enough that the operator recommends it for children accompanied by adults and for anyone preferring milder heat. The dry Finnish sauna is kept at 90 to 100 degrees with 10 to 15 per cent humidity, has three benches at different heights and a recently rebuilt rest room, and opens onto an outdoor terrace with a large cooling pool. The sauna runs on separate hours from the water zone and is split by sex on Thursdays and Fridays, with mixed sessions at the weekend.

The water is ordinary treated municipal supply. The operator's pages contain no occurrence of the words termalni, lecivy, mineralni or pramen, and nothing on the site claims a spring, a well or a mineral analysis; the health framing rests on the sauna and steam rooms rather than on the water itself. Opening hours were revised on 5 September 2026 and vary between the water zone, the sauna, the gym and the solarium, with the water zone closed on Mondays and open only from 12:00 to 15:00 on Tuesdays; the operator notes that hours are adjusted through the year according to demand, season and holidays, and currently states that the site is running in its standard regime.
