Termes La Garriga

Termes La Garriga is a hotel and thermal bath at Carrer dels Banys 23 in La Garriga, a town in the Vallès Oriental about thirty to forty kilometres north of Barcelona at the edge of the Montseny natural park. The street name records what the town is known for: La Garriga has been a thermal resort for centuries, and Catalan Wikipedia notes that King Martí l'Humà and Queen Maria de Luna came in 1400 to recover their health by bathing at the town's thermal springs. The town's other long-standing reputation, for modernista summer villas, dates from the later spa era.

The establishment works local mineral-medicinal thermal water, which the operator credits with stimulating the circulation, reducing pain and acting as a sedative. The thermal circuit consists of an indoor thermal pool and an outdoor thermal pool, a hammam steam room, a circular shower with jets at several heights, a Finnish sauna and a peldarium, a walk over stones submerged in tempered water. A treatment institute alongside offers massage, facials, seaweed wraps, chromotherapy hydromassage baths, body peels and Kneipp showers.

The bath is open to visitors who are not staying at the hotel. Admission to the thermal space for up to four hours costs 25 euros on weekdays and 30 euros at weekends and on holidays, and the same access is bundled into a range of packages that add a meal, a massage or a buffet breakfast. Unlimited monthly passes are sold at 100 euros for weekdays only or 130 euros including weekends and holidays, and a Friday evening slot from 19:00 to 21:00 is paired with a tasting dinner. The circuit runs from 10:00 to 14:00 and again from 16:00 to 20:00, the afternoon session subject to availability.

The site is run as a hotel first, with guest rooms, a restaurant that cooks to market and prepares personalised and detoxifying diets, gardens, private parking and space for small events and corporate functions. Multi-night wellness stays, half-board thermal breaks and a six-night full-board fitness programme built on a personalised diet are all sold from the hotel's own booking system.
