Wellness Center Praid

Wellness Center Praid is an indoor bathing and wellness complex in Praid, the salt-mining town of Harghita County in the Transylvanian highlands of Romania, open throughout the year.

Its water is a salty, carbo-gaseous (naturally carbonated) thermal mineral water from a depth of 1,000 metres. It is heavily mineralised, with calcium at 2,952 mg/l and magnesium at 1,069 mg/l, and a pH of 6.8. The centre recommends it for chronic respiratory complaints, degenerative rheumatic disorders, locomotor problems after injury, peripheral neurological conditions and gynaecological complaints, and advises baths of 20–30 minutes, repeated 2–3 times with a pause of at least 20 minutes in between.

The thermal pool is divided into three temperature zones. Beside it are a freshwater swimming pool of 10 m x 20 m and a children's pool of 3 m x 8 m, 60 cm deep. There are two jacuzzis, two steam rooms, a sauna, private bath tubs and relaxation massage.

For children there is also a playground and swimming lessons, which have to be booked in advance. The complex has a fitness room.
