Perla Vlahitei

Termál Liget Szentegyháza (Perla Vlăhiței) is a thermal bathing complex in the town of Vlăhița (Szentegyháza), set at the foot of the Harghita Mountains in Transylvania, Romania. Now run by the local municipality, the site reopened on 4 July 2025 after renovations and is presented not just as a strand (open-air bathing lido) but as a place for families, friends and day-trippers to relax in a clean, safe and nature-close setting.

Thermal water & pools

The complex is fed by thermal water and combines warm water with a green, open-air environment. Its bathing area includes:

• A 25 x 10 m thermal-water pool
• A 5 x 10 m thermal-water pool
• A 5 m diameter fresh-water children's pool

The operators emphasise water quality: the large pool is fully drained on Sunday evening and refilled with fresh thermal water on Monday, while being continuously circulated and refreshed through the overflow system. The small pool's water is changed every three days in the evening.

Family & kids

Alongside the dedicated fresh-water children's pool, the site has a playground, and offers family admission tickets as well as reduced rates for children aged 4–14.

Food and drink are available on site for visitors.

The venue provides on-site lodging and amenities, including:

• Small houses (kicsi házak) and "mini home" fully-equipped cottages ideal for two adults and two children
• A camping area
• A student hostel (diákszálló)
• Wi-Fi and its own parking

Accommodation packages include beach/pool admission, with check-in at 14:00 and check-out at 11:00.

Setting & access

Located at Strada Republicii (köztársaság utca) no. 49 in Vlăhița, the bath positions itself as a fresh-air, warm-water escape in a nature-close setting at the base of the Harghita range. Residents of Vlăhița can obtain a local discount card. Pets are not permitted on the premises to keep the environment hygienic and comfortable for all guests.
