Le Club Les Thermes

Le Club Les Thermes is the thermal bath at Mondorf-les-Bains, the spa town in the south-east corner of Luxembourg. It combines the bathing hall with a sauna area and the cure department of the state spa.

The water

The water is drawn from the Michel Lucius borehole at 750 metres — the site also names the Kind and Marie-Adélaïde springs — and arrives at 36 °C, which is also the pool temperature, so it needs neither heating nor cooling. The venue classifies it as a mixed chloride, sodium-calcium water and publishes a total mineralisation of 14,555.05 mg per kilogram, with a pH of 6.8 and a flow of 440 litres a minute. The named figures are 7,707 mg/l chloride, 3,440 mg/l sodium, 1,634 mg/l calcium, 119.5 mg/l magnesium, 109.6 mg/l potassium and 41 mg/l sulphate. According to the venue the water is used in rheumatology and phlebology and for digestive, metabolic and respiratory conditions, and it lists strengthening of the muscles, improved joint mobility, reduced inflammation, pain relief and better circulation among its effects.

Visiting

There is a sauna. The bath opens from 10:00 to 20:00 on weekdays, from 09:00 to 20:00 on Saturdays, and from 09:00 to 18:00 on Sundays and public holidays. It is at Avenue des Bains 1.
