Zoomarine

Zoomarine, at Torvaianica in Pomezia, brings together a zoo, a water park and amusement rides in the Rome metropolitan area, on a site of roughly 40,000 m². It opened in September 2005 and operates year-round.

Animals and shows

The park keeps more than 400 animals across some 40 species, with presentations at a dolphin stadium and a sea lion bay, plus flamingos, penguins, parrots and birds of prey. The operator describes it as the Italian park with the most dolphins.

Water and rides

Water attractions include a large pool — some 2,000 m² together with its sun terrace — and slides named Aquatube, Kamikaze and Toboca, alongside a Flow Rider. Dry attractions include the Vertigo roller coaster, a dinosaur-themed dark ride and the Laguna dei Pirati splash battle. The park is currently operated by Openature.

Named pools

The water zone also includes named pools: Piscina Cancun, a family pool with varying depths, slides, music and entertainment; Piscina Punta Cana, a tropical pool with sand; Acquasplash Hawaii, a children's water playground; and Acquapark Malibu with its own slides. Relax areas include Oasi Tulum and Oasi Malibu loungers and three beaches, Dolphin Beach, Playa Punta Cana and Tortuga Bay. Dining spans restaurants Taverna La Famiglia, Roman-cuisine A Tutta Pasta, dinosaur-themed Zoorassico Pizza and Grill, and Ristoro della Foresta, plus Malibu Cafe and Cancun Cafe kiosks.
