Terme di Cretone
- Water temperature
- 23 °C
- Pool range

A summer-only open-air sulphur bath about 30 km from Rome, with three large pools fed straight from the springs on continuous exchange and a combined water surface of roughly 1,500 square metres. The water is calcium-sulphurous and only around 23 degrees, so the appeal is shade, greenery and swimming rather than heat.
About
Terme Sabine di Cretone lies in the municipality of Palombara Sabina, at the foot of a wooded hillside about 30 kilometres from Rome, and works as a day-visit bathing park rather than a clinic. The operator describes three large pools, one of them for children, fed directly from sulphurous thermomineral springs and running on continuous exchange rather than recirculation, with a combined water surface of about 1,500 square metres. The pools carry a circuit of what the site calls cobra and swan jets for hydromassage. The whole site covers roughly three hectares of laid-out grounds, with both paved and grassed solariums, a hot-table and bar service, changing rooms, a cloakroom and a video room.
The water is calcium-sulphurous and comes out at around 23 degrees, which is close to a cool swimming temperature rather than a warm thermal bath, so the season is short: in 2026 the park opens on 28 May and closes on 13 September, running daily from 9:00 to 18:30. The operator dates ministerial recognition of the water to 1987 and lists skin, biliary tract, stomach, arthro-rheumatic and respiratory conditions among its indications. A separate page explains the general principle behind sulphur therapy, defining a sulphurous water as one carrying at least 1 mg of hydrogen sulphide per litre and describing aerosol and endotympanic insufflation courses of ten to twelve applications; no on-site inhalation department is advertised in the current season pages, however.
Admission is cheap and tiered. A full weekday day ticket costs 12 euro and a pre-holiday or holiday one 15 euro, with children aged 6 to 12 at 9 and 11 euro; an afternoon ticket valid from 14:00 costs 10 euro. Those prices cover the unequipped lawn areas only, where visitors spread their own towel; sun loungers, deckchairs, parasols and cabins are 6 euro each, and the equipped Silver, Gold and Platinum VIP zones cost a supplement on top of entry. Residents of Palombara Sabina get 50 per cent off a single weekday entry, excluding public holidays and the days before them. Pool areas can be booked online or at the ticket desk, and there is a massage and beauty corner with a private Jacuzzi hired by the hour. Public transport is via the FL1 suburban line to Piana Bella-Montelibretti and a shuttle from there.
