Thermes de Saint-Gervais-Les-Bains

The Thermes de Saint-Gervais-les-Bains is a medical thermal establishment set at the foot of Mont Blanc in Haute-Savoie. According to the operator, the spa has drawn on thermal water and scientific thermal practice since 1806. The establishment brings together accredited medical thermal cures and the Bains du Mont Blanc, a wellness spa that uses the same naturally warm mineral water.

Thermal water

The establishment states that its thermal water is naturally captured at 39 °C. The operator reports that the water contains sulfur, magnesium, boron, silicon, copper and manganese, and describes its properties as restorative, soothing, healing, anti-inflammatory and decongestant.

Medical cures

The operator lists accredited thermal cures oriented toward dermatology and toward the respiratory tract, ENT (ear, nose and throat) conditions and the oral mucous membranes. It also describes post-cancer recovery programmes, a treatment option for long COVID, care for skin sensitivities and scarring, and a mini-cure for tinnitus. Double-orientation treatments and shorter mini-cures are offered alongside the full cures.

Bains du Mont Blanc spa

The Bains du Mont Blanc combines indoor and open-air thermal pools; the operator states that four outdoor basins are installed at different temperatures in the gorge setting. The spa also features a wooden sauna, a salt cave, and a Kneipp hot-and-cold circuit for the legs, together with mist chambers, individual alcoves, extended showers, water jets and thermal cascades used for relaxation and sensory experiences.

Treatments

The on-site Care Institute (Institut de Soin) offers massages, hydromassage-bed treatments, and facial and body care performed with the thermal water. The operator also presents wellness stays aimed at stress relief, athletic recovery, joint and muscle relaxation, and respiratory support.

Opening hours

The operator states that the Bains du Mont Blanc spa is open Sunday to Thursday from 9:00 to 20:00 and Friday to Saturday from 9:00 to 21:00, with an annual closure from 26 May to 5 June. The Care Institute is open daily from 10:00 to 19:00, while the medical cure reception operates Monday to Friday, 9:00–12:00 and 14:00–17:00.
