Les Bains de Saint-Thomas

Three pools are fed from a natural sulphurous spring. The operator puts its emergence at 58 °C and describes the water as sulphurous, bicarbonated and rich in trace elements. The baths sit at 1,150 metres in a stone amphitheatre above Fontpédrouse. Bathing temperature follows the season — around 34–35 °C in spring and summer, 37 °C in autumn and winter — and the operator gives a 34 to 38 °C range across the pools. All the bathing is open-air: a main pool, a second pool with a jacuzzi, ten horizontal jets, two geysers and two cascades, and a children's paddling pool, plus shower rails running regulated thermal water. No reservation is needed.

The indoor wellness area is open only to bathers. It holds a vaporarium at 33–35 °C fed by a purpose-built tank of spring water, a vaulted hammam at 40–42 °C scented with eucalyptus, a sauna at 80 °C, a large whirlpool and a rest room. The operator says the water has long been known to relieve rheumatism, skin diseases and respiratory complaints, and the vaporarium continues the old village habit of inhaling the sulphurous steam.

Open daily, 10:00–19:40 for most of the year and until 20:40 during the Christmas and February school holidays and from 14 July to the end of August; the wellness area closes at 19:30 and opens at 11:00 on Mondays. The baths shut on 1 May and for about a fortnight in June and in November for works. The operator holds the Tourisme Handicap label, with lift access to the pools.
