Espace Bien-être - Grande Garenne

The Espace Bien-être is one of three areas inside the Espace Nautique de la Grande Garenne, the aquatic centre at 1 rue Louis Blériot in Saint-Marcel (postcode 27950), operated by Vert Marine. The operator places the centre "au coeur de Seine Normandie Agglomération", which identifies the Saint-Marcel in the Eure, in Normandy, rather than any other commune of the same name; the published telephone number carries an 02 54 prefix, which belongs to another region, but the address block and the operator's own map link both give 27950 Saint Marcel. The centre is open seven days a week all year.

The water here has no thermal or mineral origin. Neither the wellness page nor the pool page mentions a spring, a borehole, thermal or mineral water anywhere; a keyword sweep of both pages for "thermal", "thermale", "source" and "minéral" returns nothing. This is a heated freshwater wellness suite attached to a municipal-style aquatic centre.

The wellness area itself is described briefly. The operator's own summary of its strong points lists two saunas, one hammam and a whirlpool bath, and presents the area as the complement to a swim or a workout rather than as a standalone spa; no treatment menu, relaxation room, plunge pool or outdoor section is listed, and no water or cabin temperatures are published. The operator gives no opening year for the centre or for the wellness area.

The area is open to day visitors and is not reserved for members. Admission is sold under the heading "FORME & BIEN-ÊTRE", with the pool included, at €13.00 for residents of the agglomeration and €15.00 for non-residents for a single entry; a ten-entry card valid six months costs €117.00 and €135.00 respectively, and a version of the entry including an RPM class is €15.00 and €17.00. The ticket therefore covers the wellness suite, the fitness rooms and the swimming pools together rather than the sauna area alone.

Wellness hours are published separately for three periods of the year. In term time the area opens Monday to Thursday 10:00–20:00, Friday 10:00–21:00 and Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 09:00–13:00 and 14:00–18:00. During the short school holidays of zone B it runs 10:00–13:45 and 14:30–20:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10:00–13:45 and 14:30–19:00 on Wednesday, and the same weekend split; during the summer holidays it is 10:00–20:00 Monday to Friday with the weekend split unchanged. The adjoining pool hall, which the wellness ticket also admits to, holds a 25-metre sports pool, a teaching pool, a leisure pool, a paddling pool, a slide, a solarium and outdoor lawns.
