Aquaboulevard

Aquaboulevard occupies 4-6 rue Louis Armand in the 15th arrondissement of Paris and is run by the Forest Hill group, alongside a fitness club, tennis and squash courts, restaurants and a fourteen-screen cinema on the same site. The operator describes it as the largest urban water park in Europe and gives its area as 7,000 m². French Wikipedia, used here as a second source, records that the project was launched in 1986 by the City of Paris and Forest Hill's chief executive Michel Corbière and that the park opened in April 1989, being inaugurated the following month by the then mayor Jacques Chirac. It is not a thermal or mineral bath: the water is heated and the operator advertises it simply as being kept at 29 °C.

The bathing area is laid out as a covered tropical park with sand beaches, and the operator lists wave pools, cascades, geysers, water cannons, counter-current rivers, water mushrooms, jacuzzis, a family rafting run, a pentaglisse, a blue-whale structure and eleven slides, together with a Wake box. Outdoor pools and beaches are opened in the summer months. Because the whole complex is enclosed, it is presented as usable in winter as well as summer.

Instruction and organised activity make up a large part of the programme. Swimming courses from beginner to advanced level are offered to children from the age of four, with a placement test before enrolment; baby swimming sessions for infants from six months run at weekends, with up to two accompanying parents, and a water-garden discovery section operates at weekends for children aged three to five. For adults the operator lists more than twenty aquatic disciplines - among them aqua jogging, cardio boxing, aqua stand-up, aqua pilates, fit dance and longe côte - supervised by lifeguard instructors and projected on a large LED screen.

Opening arrangements changed on 1 September 2026, and the park no longer opens daily outside holiday periods. From that date it admits visitors every weekend, on Saturdays from 08:00 to 24:00 and Sundays from 08:00 to 23:00, on public holidays from 08:00 to 23:00, and every day during the school holidays of French zone C, when hours run from 09:00 Monday to Thursday and Friday to 24:00. Ticket desks close at 21:00 on all days. The operator states that daily opening from mid-April to early September is planned again for 2027, to be confirmed at the start of that year.
