Yalova Termal Kaplıcaları

Yalova Termal Kaplıcaları (Yalova Thermal Springs) is a historic public thermal resort set in the forested Termal district about 12 km from the city of Yalova. It is operated by the Termal Springs Management Authority of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health (T.C. Sağlık Bakanlığı Termal Kaplıcaları İşletme İdaresi) and is promoted as Turkey's oldest thermal facility of its kind and the only one to hold a gold medal, awarded in Rome in 1911.

Thermal water

The resort is fed by natural mineral thermal water (doğal mineralli su), with several hot spring sources flowing across the grounds. Free-flowing thermal spring sources are accessible to the public throughout the site.

Historic baths and pools

The complex preserves a group of Ottoman-era baths and bathing halls:

• Kurşunlu Hamam (Lead Bath)
• Valide Hamam (Valide Bath)
• Sultan Banyoları / Sultan Hamam (Sultan Baths)
• Sıra Banyolar (row baths) and private room baths (odalı banyo)
• Special family cabins and cabin-style baths (özel aile kabinleri, kabinli hamam)

An open-air thermal pool (açık havuz) is available, where a "snow bath" experience is offered in season, along with a women-only thermal pool.

Spa and wellness

The site combines traditional Turkish hammam bathing with a Finnish sauna, and its mineral waters are managed and promoted for their therapeutic, health-oriented use under the Ministry of Health.

Accommodation and dining

On-site lodging includes the Termal Otel, the Çınar Otel, and apartment units (Apart Daireler). Restaurants and cafés serve guests and day visitors.

Family and setting

Special family cabins make the baths suitable for group and family visits. The resort sits within a green, forested setting with parks, walking and hiking trails, historic sites, and picnic areas across the grounds.
