Termali Salini & Spa

Termali Salini & Spa Locarno is a natural brine bathing and sauna complex on the Locarno lakefront in the Swiss canton of Ticino, at Via G. Respini 7, operated under the Aqua Spa Resorts brand. The operator describes it as the largest natural brine bath in Ticino and lays the bathing landscape out over two levels, with brine basins, grottoes and cascades, massage jets and a herbal steam bath, and views over Lago Maggiore and the surrounding mountains.

Inside, the bathing area is arranged as a sequence of quiet niches and grottoes with bubble loungers, and includes a hot bath held at 39 °C. The outdoor pool is kept at 35 °C and is fitted with bubble loungers, massage jets and neck showers, opening onto a terrace with sun loungers. A bridge within the bathing area leads to a textile steam bath and adjoining relaxation rooms.

The sauna world is a separate section reached from the same building. It contains a candle-lit bio-sauna at 65 °C with 40 per cent humidity, a Finnish sauna with löyly rituals at 80 to 85 °C with 15 to 20 per cent humidity, a herbal steam grotto and a Kneipp path alternating warm and cold water. Salt scrubs are offered in the steam bath. Rest areas include a large quiet room, a lounge and a sun terrace overlooking the lake. A bistro, massage and treatment rooms and a private spa complete the offer, and day-spa packages combine admission with treatments.

Opening hours are seasonal. The complex is open daily from 09.00 to 21.30 in the winter season, which the operator defines as September to May, and daily from 10.00 to 21.00 in the summer season of June to August. The brine bath, sauna and spa all close thirty minutes before the end of operations. Reduced hours are published for individual holidays, with 09.00 to 17.00 on 24 and 25 December 2026, 09.00 to 18.30 on 31 December 2026 and 10.00 to 21.30 on 1 January 2027. The operator does not publish a pool count, a brine concentration, a well depth or an opening year on the pages examined, so none is reported here.
