About

Park Wodny Koszalin stands at ul. Rekreacyjna 14 in Koszalin and is run by the municipal sports facilities board, ZOS Koszalin. The water is plain heated pool water. The operator publishes no borehole depth, no outflow temperature and no mineral analysis, and the words geotermalna, termalna and odwiert do not occur anywhere on its pages; what it does describe about the water is its treatment, an integrated Dryden Aqua system it calls Daisy, which the operator says keeps chlorine use as low as possible and the water practically free of chlorine smell. A brine chamber exists in the bath, but it is a steam room in the sauna zone and not a brine pool, so the bathing water should not be read as mineral.

The recreation zone holds six pools, two of them in the outdoor area, and one of those two outdoor pools is open twelve months a year. The outdoor pool has neck massage and wall massage jets and six air-massage loungers. Indoors the operator enumerates, without giving a total for the indoor group, a swimming pool, a learner pool, a children's pool and an indoor recreation pool. The separate sports pool lies in the indoor part of the building, measures 25 by 16 metres and has spectator seating for 300. Around the recreation water there are poolside loungers, an artificial river, tube waterfalls, air geysers, jacuzzi bowls and wall massagers. The children's area has a slide and water toys indoors, and outdoors a paddling pool with two slides, water toys and a fenced playground. The operator lists six slides by name: Anakonda, Multimedialna, Turbo, Rekreacyjna, Cebula and Rodzinna.

The sauna zone is enumerated rather than counted: brine, steam and steam-and-mud chambers; Finnish, herbal, colour-therapy and ritual saunas; an infrared cabin; a jacuzzi area, Scottish showers, a sun meadow, an ice grotto and an outdoor rest terrace with a six-person jacuzzi. The operator gives the Finnish sauna as roughly 80 to 100 degrees Celsius, the steam room as 40 to 55 degrees at full humidity, the infrared cabin as 30 to 60 degrees and the ice grotto as about 5 degrees. Sauna-master rituals run hourly through the evening, with one paid ritual each day at 19.00 costing 10 zloty on weekdays and Saturdays and 15 zloty on Sundays. Wednesdays from 18.00 to 21.00 reserve the first floor of the sauna zone and the outdoor sauna for women, and the last Sunday of each month has a family sauna session from 11.00 to 13.00 for children over five.

The sports pool is open 07:00 to 22:00, the recreation zone 09:00 to 22:00, and the sauna zone 16:00 to 22:00 Monday to Friday and 13:00 to 22:00 on Saturdays and Sundays; the small spa opens Tuesday to Sunday 13:00 to 21:00. The sauna zone can be hired privately at 250 zloty for one hour, 300 for two and 400 for three, on top of ordinary admission tickets. The operator's site gives no opening year, and Polish Wikipedia has no article on the bath.
