Līvu akvaparks

Līvu Akvaparks is a water park in the resort town of Jurmala, Latvia, open year-round on Viestura iela. The operator states the complex covers 18,000 square metres and is divided into four zones: an active slide zone, a slow family area, a SPA complex, and a summer outdoor beach open seasonally. The site lists more than 20 slides and more than 10 swimming pools. Named slides include the Black Slide (ridden in darkness), Green, Red, Orange and Yellow Slides (the last called the wild river), the Tornado, the Silver Mine flume, the Blue Slide, and a diving pool with jumps from the third to second floor; a Family Slide and the Magic Three run only in summer. For children there is the Orinoko river, the Mamas Papas pool at 60 and 90 cm depth, a wave pool up to 1.5 m deep, and Captain Kid's Land. Water temperature is 30°C in the main pools, 33°C in the jacuzzi and children's pools, 27°C in the slide-landing pools, and 23-27°C outdoors. The SPA lists a sauna (70-100°C), a Turkish bath (50-70°C), a steam bath (up to 50°C), a Tylarium (45-65°C), and a salt chamber. There is a bistro, Zambezy, and a bar in the SPA; an outdoor café runs in summer. The park has been open since December 2003.
