Caribe Bay
Caribe Bay is an outdoor, Caribbean-themed water park in Lido di Jesolo near Venice, Italy, which opened in 1989 as Aqualandia and took its current name in 2019. Covering roughly 80,000 square metres, it holds about 25 attractions and reports around 200,000 visitors a year.
About
Caribe Bay lies at Lido di Jesolo, in the Venice area of northeastern Italy. The park opened in 1989 under the name Aqualandia and was renamed Caribe Bay in 2019, its thirtieth year. It occupies about 80,000 square metres and is organised into themed zones with a Caribbean setting, among them Shark Bay, Paradise Lagoon and Pirates' Bay.
The layout combines slides, pools and open-air shows across roughly 25 attractions. A wave pool is laid with real sand, and a lazy river known as Crazy River was added in 1992. Among the named rides is the Spacemaker slide, which the park records at 42 metres high with a maximum slope of 60 degrees. A 60-metre bungee tower and a Caribbean-themed mini-golf course are also on site.
Visitor services include several dining areas, parking, and stay packages combining hotel or camping-village lodging with park entry. The park has won the Italian Parksmania Awards as best water park on several occasions.
