About
Dantebad is an open-air pool in the Moosach district of Munich, in use since 1913 and operated by Stadtwerke München. It is best known for keeping a heated pool running through the winter, and its water is held at 30 °C.
Pools
The centrepiece is a 50-metre stadium pool, with a second 50-metre pool alongside it carrying a swimmer's lane. A 30-metre non-swimmer pool has a broad water slide, and a separate attraction pool is kept at about 30 °C with whirlpool loungers and current channels.
Visiting
From May to August the open-air pool opens at 10:00 from Monday to Thursday and at 09:00 from Friday to Sunday; the stadium section opens earlier, between 07:00 and 07:30 depending on the day, and the sauna runs daily from 07:30 to 23:00. Closing time depends on the weather: the operator states the pool stays open an hour or two later when the air is above 25 °C. Admission is 6.30 EUR, with a reduced rate of 4.00 EUR for some groups, and children under 12 enter free. It is at Postillonstraße 17.
