Thermes de Gréoux-les-Bains

Overview

The Thermes de Gréoux-les-Bains sit in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and have been run by the Chaîne Thermale du Soleil since 1962, when the company rebuilt the thermal baths on their original site. Today the establishment centres on a large care-and-relaxation complex of roughly 1,700 m², surrounded by a thermal park close to the Verdon.

The Thermal Water

Gréoux draws on naturally warm mineral water emerging at around 42 °C. The water is described as sulphured, sulphated, calcic and sodic, and rich in magnesium, silica and trace elements. In treatment it is used both in individual baths and in medicinal pools, where the warmth promotes vasodilation and the skin's absorption of mineral elements, while directed showers apply targeted mechanical and thermal action to areas defined by the thermal physician.

Medical Indications

The station is approved for two therapeutic orientations: rheumatology and the consequences of locomotor-system trauma (RH), and respiratory pathways covering ENT and pulmonary conditions (VR). The centre also offers programmes linked to follow-up after breast cancer. Care is delivered through individual and collective treatments prescribed within a medical thermal cure.

Wellness and Facilities

Alongside the medical cures, the spa provides relaxation spaces, beauty treatments, a sauna, a hammam and a thermal pool, together with a fitness studio equipped with cardio and strength machines and a panoramic window onto the park. The wider resort includes hotel-restaurants and residences serving visitors on cure.

Season and Hours

The Thermes operate from early March to mid-December and are closed on Sundays. In low season they open Monday to Saturday from 6:45 to 15:00, and in high season from 6:00 to 18:30.
