Parcs aquatiques — Allemagne

En Allemagne, l'Erlebnisbad est bien souvent géré par la commune : c'est la piscine municipale devenue centre aquatique de loisirs, avec une halle couverte pour les toboggans et le bassin à vagues, un espace saunas et, à côté, un bassin en plein air. Les deux parties ne vivent pas au même rythme : la halle reste ouverte toute l'année, tandis que les bassins extérieurs et les toboggans du dehors n'ouvrent qu'en été.

C'est en Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie, en Bavière et en Basse-Saxe qu'on en trouve le plus. L'eau des bassins de loisirs est en général maintenue autour de 30 °C, celle des pataugeoires un peu plus chaude, et bon nombre d'établissements ont un bassin d'eau salée, même là où il n'y a pas d'eau thermale.
