Spa SaniFani

Kylpylä SaniFani sits at the heart of the Hiekkasärkät resort area at Kalajoki, on the dune coast of Finland's Ostrobothnia. It shares a roof with Santa's Resort & Spa Hotel Sani, two restaurants, a gym, a bowling alley, an escape room, a hairdresser and a day spa. The Jukupark water park next door belongs to the same resort but is a separate business with its own tickets.

SaniFani is a heated public pool complex rather than a mineral or thermal bath: the operator names no spring, well or thermal source, publishes no mineral analysis and lists no treatment indication.

The house splits in two. The swimming-hall side holds a lane pool used for fitness swimming, with a shallow and a deep end, and lanes can be booked by the hour. The spa side has warm pools and massaging jets, which the operator calls the tropics, and for children a water slide and a diving board. Guided water-exercise classes run on both sides several times a week, are included in the entrance ticket and go ahead when at least three people turn up.

The operator gives the hours as Monday to Friday 14:00-20:00, Saturday 10:00-20:00 and Sunday 10:00-18:00, with morning swimming on Wednesday from 07:00 to 09:00 and daily 10:00-20:00 opening during the autumn holiday weeks. Admission to the pool hall ends an hour before closing time.
