景大渡假莊園

Thermal bathGuanziling, Tainan, Taiwan

King's Garden Villa, a resort at Guanziling's rare grey mud hot springs in the Tainan mountains, with mineral-mud SPA pools, private baths and a hotel.

About

King's Garden Villa (景大渡假莊園) sits in Guanziling, one of only a handful of places in the world with true muddy hot springs. Its bathing waters draw on the Guanziling source, a weak alkaline carbonate (bicarbonate) spring that emerges grayish-black in color, carrying dissolved salts, sulfur and fine mud. The spring is famed for leaving skin feeling smooth and clean, and reaches around 75°C at the source before being tempered for bathing.

Mud baths and pools

  • An 800-ping outdoor mineral-mud SPA said to be the largest of its kind in central and southern Taiwan
  • "Million-pulse" electric hot-spring pools that combine pulse-impact jets for massage and muscle relaxation
  • A large open-air hot spring SPA area alongside an adults' nude bathing zone
  • Four-season private bath houses for individual soaking

Hotel and setting

The resort offers accommodation ranging from European-style wooden cottages to two-, four- and six-person suites (Villa Maple Wood House, Elizabeth Suite and Tuscany Suite), all with spring-water tubs, plus a restaurant with a health-focused menu, conference space and garden grounds. It lies in a tranquil mountain valley ringed by Pillow Mountain, Tiger Mountain, Dajian Mountain and Jigong Mountain.
