Kokpunkten

Kokpunkten is a water park in Västerås, Sweden, built inside a former steam power plant on Lake Mälaren and marketed by the operator as Sweden's only action water park, spread across eight floors. Its slides include InsideOut, a roughly 140-metre tandem ride with a 12-metre drop; Double Racer, a side-by-side racing slide used for the Swedish waterslide championship; Boomerang, a fast solo slide; Black River, a rapid-current ride named after the Svartån river running through the city; a water-powered spinning turbine; a climbing wall over three metres high with water and jets to cushion falls; and two virtual-reality slide and pool experiences. Barnlandet is a separate children's area with splash features, a slide for younger children and water-spraying mushrooms. On the sixth floor there is an outdoor pool with heated water, open year-round. Sharing the building, the 18-and-over Voltage Lounge Pool Club, run together with the neighbouring Steam Hotel, adds two heated indoor pools, two dry saunas, a fire-lounge area, an outdoor pool kept at 34 degrees year-round, and bath features such as a waterfall shower and aroma baths, plus a gym. A restaurant serves food inside the main water park.
