One of Asia's largest hot-spring bathhouses at Hotel Nongshim, fed by natural alkaline Dongnae spring water across some 40 themed baths.
About
Hurshimchung is a vast urban hot-spring spa inside Hotel Nongshim in the Oncheon-dong area of Dongnae, Busan. Spanning roughly 4,300 square metres and able to hold around 3,000 bathers, it is billed as one of Asia's largest bathhouses, set beneath a naturally lit skylight amid artistic interiors.
Dongnae hot-spring water
The baths draw on 100% natural hot-spring water from the venue's own well in Dongnae, a source used since the Silla era. The water is alkaline and low in salt (sodium chloride), colourless, odourless and clear, and carries the highest magnesium concentration of any hot spring in Korea. It emerges at roughly 46-60°C and is traditionally valued for rheumatism, neuralgia, muscle and back pain, poor circulation and skin health.
