Yuga

Yuga is a thermal and banya complex at Gornoshchitskaya territoriya 7, in the village of Gorny Shchit about 20 kilometres from the centre of Yekaterinburg; city buses 91, 91M and 120/66 serve it. Its three pools hold 856 square metres of water in total, drawn from the complex's own artesian well 160 metres deep. The operator states the water is filtered and then heated to a comfortable temperature, and describes no naturally hot source: despite the name, the warmth here is supplied rather than drawn from the ground.

The indoor pool is at most 1.4 metres deep and held at 30 °C all year. The open-air pool is 1.5 metres deep, has a 14-metre contrast section and a bar in the water, and according to the operator is kept at 36–37 °C in winter and 33–35 °C in summer. A children's pool 0.6 metres deep sits beside the indoor pool at 30–31 °C, next to a splash zone. The operator's plan of the complex also marks two cold plunges and a whirlpool; no water slides are listed. Upstairs, the Winter Garden is a quiet comfort zone with a pool of its own.

There are six banyas – Russian, hammam, juniper, beer, mechanical and a children's sanarium – and fan sessions are held in them every hour. A wood-fired banya for private rituals, themed show sessions, the spa and the flowboarding surf wave are booked separately.

Opening hours

The complex opens all year, 09:00–23:00 Sunday to Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday, and from 12:00 on the last Monday of each month.
