Атолл

Akvapark „Атолл“ is an indoor water park in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, at Ploshchad Lenina 5, inside the Atoll shopping centre; the operator's directions tell drivers to enter through the centre's main entrance and turn right to the aquapark sign, and list buses from Nizhny Novgorod (routes 225 and 230 from Sennaya coach station, 215 and 216 from Shcherbinki, T-300 from Proletarskaya metro, T-304 from the Moscow station tunnel). The operator states the formal opening as 7 February 2015. The water is ordinary treated fresh water, not thermal or mineral: the operator says all the water is continuously filtered through a multi-stage cleaning system and UF lamps and checked daily by the technical services, and publishes no spring, no well and no analysis. Air temperature in the hall is given as +30 °C with heated floors, and the average water temperature in the pools as 28 to 33 °C. Instructors work in the aquazone and there is a medical room.

The home page states the park holds seven slides, extreme and family, and the aquazone page lists exactly seven with their measurements, all starting from a height of 8 metres except one. The green „Открытая“ is an open individual slide of complex configuration with one turn, 55 m long, average gradient 10-14 %, from 110 cm in height. The yellow „Мультислайд“ has three parallel lanes side by side over its whole length, 25 m, gradient 20-40 %, ridden sitting on a mat, from 120 cm. The orange „Камикадзе“ is an extreme high-speed individual slide of 25 m, gradient 20-40 %, from 140 cm. The blue „Труба - свободное падение“ is an enclosed extreme slide of 25 m with a free-fall effect, gradient 20-40 %, from 140 cm. The light-blue rafting slide is open, has three loops and is the longest in the park at 84 m, gradient no more than 13 %, ridden on a one- or two-person ring, from 120 cm. „Космический туннель“ is an enclosed speed slide with two loops at different heights ending in a funnel, 19 m plus the funnel, gradient 13-20 %, from 14 years. „Хил-Буги“, shaped like a skateboard ramp and ridden on a single ring, is 34 m long and starts at 11 metres, from 18 years.

The operator enumerates the pools rather than totalling them. The wave pool runs waves of various shapes - classical, triangular, boiling, rotating and others - is 0 to 1.6 m deep and held at 28-30 °C, with the waves switched on once an hour at 45 minutes past for 15-20 minutes. The hydromassage pool has air massage, geysers and water cannon, is 0 to 1.4 m deep and also 28-30 °C. The jacuzzi is 0.7 m deep at 35-39 °C with the hydromassage switched on every 30 minutes. For small children there is the multi-slide „Тыква“, a small pool with open chutes 60 cm deep at 30-32 °C, and the fountain shower „Грибок“, 30 cm deep at 29-32 °C. A climbing wall imitating a rock face stands 4 m high over a safety pool of 4 by 2 metres and 2.5 m deep, open from 14 years.

The heat cabins are counted as an infrared sauna plus a bath complex of Russian banya, Finnish sauna and Turkish hammam, with three plunge pools of differing temperature. The infrared sauna is on the ground floor in the aquazone next to the children's area, at 38-45 °C and 20-25 % humidity. The bath complex is on level -1, entered through the changing rooms: the Russian banya runs 85-90 °C at 50-60 % humidity, the Finnish sauna 85-90 °C dry heat at under 10 % humidity, and the hammam 40 °C at over 80 % humidity. The three plunge pools run from icy to pleasantly warm at under 12 °C, 18-23 °C and 27-30 °C. The operator states repeatedly that use of the whole complex, aquazone and baths together, is included in the price of any aquapark ticket.

The park opens daily 10:00-22:00, with the water attractions stopping 30 minutes before closing. Guests from 16 years may visit without parents, groups from 20 people get special terms, a VIP changing room takes a party of up to 20, and a cafe-bar works inside the park so visitors need not dress to eat; bringing one's own food and drink is not allowed. Gift certificates are valid one year and season passes two months from purchase. Admission prices are not published as readable text: the prices page loads its table by script and returns no figures to a plain reader.
