About

Chełmski Park Wodny is the indoor water park of Chełm, at ul. Lubelska 133A. The database name "Park Wodny" is generic; the operator calls the building Chełmski Park Wodny and trades as Chełmski Park Wodny i Targowiska Miejskie Sp. z o.o., a municipal company. The water is plain treated pool water: no page claims a geothermal or mineral source, and the only brine in the building is in the graduation tower, where a salt solution trickles over blackthorn twigs to make an inhalation aerosol rather than filling a pool. Water-quality reports are published, but as PDF files, so no pool temperature is readable from the page text.

The operator dates the project from a 2012 survey of residents, a February 2013 design contract with Schick Architekci, a construction contract with Skanska signed on 12 March 2015, and an occupancy permit on 6 October 2016; the park opened on 26 November 2016. Its own list of figures gives one recreation pool, two swimming pools, two children's paddling pools, three squash courts, four six-person jacuzzis, five slides, six saunarium rooms, a maximum pool depth of 1.8 m, a shallowest paddling depth of 15 cm and a capacity of 427 people; no combined pool total is published. The sports zone holds a warm-up and learners' pool of about 100 m2 at 1 m depth and a six-lane 25 m by 12.5 m sports pool with starting blocks. The recreation hall runs over two levels with walkways, islands and a sun terrace; its listed attractions include a figure-of-eight rapid river with slow and fast currents, an underwater geyser, a climbing wall bearing the town arms, water lounger jets, one internal tube slide, one internal multi-person family slide and two external tube slides.

Two operator pages disagree on the saunas and both readings are kept here: the About page counts six saunarium rooms, while the Attractions page describes a complex of four saunas - a biosauna, a Russian banya, a Finnish sauna and a steam sauna - plus two rest rooms, an ice grotto and foot basins. The two pages also give different closing times for the brine tower: the water-parameters page says daily 9:00-16:00, the Attractions page daily 9:00-15:00 in 45-minute sessions. Opening hours are daily 9:00-22:00 for the recreation zone and 17:30-21:45 for the saunarium; the park runs year-round, a notice of 26 August 2026 confirming the hours were not shortened after the holidays. Published admission runs from 35 zl on weekdays and 40 zl at weekends for 60+10 minutes, up to 75 zl and 85 zl for unlimited time, with reduced and senior tariffs.
