Malinowy Zdrój

Hotel Medical Spa Malinowy Zdrój is the hotel-and-baths operation of the Malinowe Hotele company at ul. Leśna 7 in Solec-Zdrój, in the Świętokrzyskie region. Its therapeutic water comes from the "Malina" borehole in Solec-Zdrój, which the operator classifies as a strongly mineralised sodium-chloride sulphide, bromide and iodide brine with, it says, the world's highest content of active sulphur compounds. In a comparison table of Polish sulphide waters the operator puts the Solec-Zdrój "Malina" source at 3.10 per cent mineralisation and 860 mg H2S per litre, against 70.04 mg at Swoszowice and 50.00 mg at Busko-Zdrój. It states that the water is available only in the facilities of the Malinowe Hotele company, and that the water actually used in treatments is diluted to roughly 130-150 mg of sulphur compounds per litre. Besides hydrogen sulphide the operator names sulphides and sulphates, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium and iodine in the composition. No temperature is published for the source itself.

The signature treatment is the sulphide bath: a tub bath in the sulphurous-hydrogen-sulphide saline solution at a bath temperature of 34-37 °C, lasting 15 minutes, taken daily or every second day. The operator describes the bath as gently exfoliating the skin and stimulating renewal, with bactericidal and fungicidal action, improved microcirculation and an anti-inflammatory effect, and says the therapeutic effects of a course persist for about a year. Its rehabilitation centre lists among treated conditions osteoarthritis of the joints and spine, spinal pain syndromes and sciatica, discopathies, rheumatoid, psoriatic and ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, atopic dermatitis, gout, states after fractures, dislocations and sports injuries, painful shoulder syndrome and tennis elbow, consequences of stroke, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, peripheral circulatory disorders and diabetic angiopathy and neuropathy. Alongside balneology it offers physical therapy, orthopaedic and neurological kinesiotherapy, manual therapy, massage and collagen therapy, with treatments chosen individually after assessment.

For bathing rather than therapy the hotel has a Wellness Zone, which the operator describes as a large pool with a hydromassage system, a sauna world comprising Finnish, dry and steam saunas, a tepidarium, and an outdoor jacuzzi. It publishes no pool count, no pool water temperature and no opening hours for the zone. Water aerobics is listed as free of charge for hotel guests, daily at 15:00, and other recreation on the site includes tennis courts, mini golf, boules, bicycle hire, swimming lessons and pilates, yoga and stretching classes. The site is run as a residential medical spa: the published offer is built entirely of stays and packages priced per person per night or per stay, and the operator does not publish any single-entry ticket, day pass or opening hours that would let a visitor without a booking use the pool or sauna zone, so day access cannot be confirmed from its own pages.
