Østfoldbadet

Ostfoldbadet is an indoor water park in Askim, Ostfold, Norway, at P.M. Rowdes gate 8. The operator says it has eleven pools and attractions: a children's pool, a wave pool with waves up to 80 cm, two 25-metre swimming pools, and two warm-water pools with 34-degree water, one a training pool with a movable floor. There are three water slides, four diving boards/platforms at different heights, a jacuzzi, an outdoor massage pool, a sauna, a steam sauna, and a cold-water plunge pool. In summer, two extra outdoor pools with sun loungers open. Waves run every half hour and current channels six times an hour in the family pool, and every Friday from 19:00 the lights dim for a water disco aimed mainly at 10-15 year-olds. The complex also houses a training center and a cafe under the same roof, and the operator states it is open year-round. Admission is sold as single tickets, 10/25/52-visit punch cards, or annual passes, priced separately for weekdays and weekends/holidays; a weekday adult ticket costs 221 kroner. The site gives no evidence of a natural thermal or mineral spring behind the water, so this is a heated leisure-pool complex, not a thermal bath.
