Calluna

Calluna is the indoor swim paradise of Kustpark Texel, the Roompot holiday park at Schumakersweg 3, 1796 NM De Koog on the Wadden island of Texel, a short walk from the resort village of De Koog and about two kilometres from the North Sea beach. The address given in the catalogue, kustparktexel.nl/het-park/zwembad, no longer resolves to a page of its own: it now redirects to the operator's park pages on roompot.nl, and the material below is taken from those.

The operator calls the hall the main draw of the park and describes it without giving a pool total. Its enumeration is a wave pool, a wild-water creek, a slide of 85 metres and a toddler pool: "Duik in de golven van het golfslagbad, laat je meevoeren in de wildwaterkreek of roetsj van de 85 meter lange glijbaan. De allerkleinsten vermaken zich uitstekend in het peuterbad." Adjoining it is a wellness section which the operator describes as a sauna with Turkish steam bath, a whirlpool and a foot bath, with a relaxation room where visitors can sit with a drink or a book, and a whirlpool fitted with a massage bench. A Lounge café serves coffee, pizza and snacks, and the park also has a playground, a tennis court and bicycle hire. The water is heated indoor fresh water; the operator makes no thermal, mineral or brine claim, and publishes no water temperature.

Day access is stated by the operator on its own ticket page for the pool, headed "Dagtickets en zwemlessen" and "Overdekt zwembad en zwemschool Calluna": "Als daggast ben je van harte welkom in Zwembad Calluna voor een ontspannen dag in het water." Tickets are chosen on that page through an embedded booking widget, so no admission prices and no opening times appear in the page itself, and none are quoted here; the reception times shown under park information are a rolling weekly list rather than published hours. Calluna also runs a swimming school for the Dutch national A, B and C diplomas, with pre-school and baby-and-toddler classes, lessons running through the year apart from the northern-region school holidays and the whole summer holiday, starting between 17.00 and 19.30. At the time of reading, the operator states that enrolment is suspended: "Tot nader order is het niet mogelijk om je kind in te schrijven voor de zwemlessen."
