About
Hamat Gader (חמת גדר) is a renowned hot-springs park set in the Yarmouk river valley on the Golan/Galilee border, spread across roughly 40 acres of tropical parkland between the Golan Heights to the north and the Gilad mountains to the south.
Sulphur thermal springs
The park is fed by thermo-mineral sulphur springs with medicinal properties, with the main spring maintained at approximately 42°C year-round.
Hot-spring pools
- Thermo-mineral bathing pools with bubble pools and waterfalls
- Jacuzzi stations, submerged massage beds and massage water cannons
- A cold-water pool known as "The Splash"
Roman bathhouse ruins
The site preserves one of the region's largest ancient Roman bath complexes, begun in the 2nd century CE, alongside further antiquities including a Roman-era theatre and later synagogue.
