Gezeitenland

Gezeitenland is an indoor water and wellness centre in the town of Borkum, on the North Sea island of the same name in Germany, built in the shape of an ocean liner over 8,000 square metres. The pool landscape has a sports pool with separate swimming lanes and a non-swimmer area, next to a relaxation pool with underwater whirl-loungers and a whirlpool. An outdoor swimming channel leads into an outdoor warm pool divided into three sections with a current channel, a bubbling pool and a swimming pool, plus underwater whirl-loungers, geysers, chest and neck showers, a counter-current system and underwater massage jets; there are separate paddling pools for small children indoors and outdoors. A FlowRider stand-up surf simulator lets visitors ride an endless wave on a bodyboard or funboard in a padded wave pool. The sauna deck has a sun terrace facing the sea and four saunas: an aroma sauna at 80°C, an infusion sauna at about 90°C with room for up to 60 guests for scheduled infusions, a steam bath at 40-45°C, and a panorama sauna at 60°C with glass walls facing the North Sea. The pool area is open daily 10:00-18:00, the sauna area Monday-Friday 10:00-20:00.
