About
Overview
The Centre Thermal of Bourbonne-les-Bains sits in the town of Bourbonne-les-Bains in the Haute-Marne department (52400) and is operated by Valvital. It is a genuine medical thermal establishment, accredited (conventionné) for the treatment of rheumatology and respiratory conditions, and occupies more than 4,000 m² with a technical platform that is continually being modernised.
The thermal water
The spring is hyperthermal, rising from the depths at a temperature of 66°C. The water is calcic and magnesian, isotonic with human serum, and of the sodium-chloride type (chlorurée sodique), rich in trace elements and mineral salts. This composition, close to that of the body's own serum, underpins its use in medical hydrotherapy.
Therapeutic indications
The centre is accredited in two orientations. In rheumatology it addresses arthrosis, osteoporosis, fractures, rheumatic conditions, painful bone syndromes and the sequelae of trauma. It is also accredited for respiratory conditions (voies respiratoires), including chronic respiratory complaints.
Spa and cures
Alongside its medicalised three-week thermal cures, Bourbonne-les-Bains offers a spa and wellness side under the Valvital name, drawing on the same thermal water.
Practical information
The station operates seasonally, receiving spa patients through the warmer months of the year. Bookings and information are handled directly by the operator, Valvital.
