Haapsalu Veekeskus

Haapsalu Veekeskus is the municipal water centre of Haapsalu, on the west coast of Estonia, at Lihula maantee 10a. It opened in 2001 and is run as a sports facility rather than as a spa: the centrepiece is a 6 rajaga 25 meetri pikkune bassein, a twenty-five-metre pool with six lanes, used for training and for swimming lessons as much as for recreation.

Alongside it are a children's pool and a separate leisure pool fitted with underwater massage stations, a large bubble bath and an assortment of water jets. One slide serves the centre, and the operator gives its length as Liutoru (46m) — forty-six metres. The sauna side is deliberately plain by the standards of Estonian spa hotels: Finnish and steam saunas, and no attempt at a themed sauna world.

The centre is not currently open. The operator states that Haapsalu Veekeskus on 2026.06 kuni 2027.10 SULETUD — closed from June 2026 until October 2027 — for a rebuilding of the building. Anyone planning a visit to Haapsalu in that period should treat the water centre as unavailable and look instead to the town's spa hotels, several of which sell day access to their own pools. The hours recorded here are the ones that applied before the closure and should be checked again when it reopens.
