Glaecier

Glaecier is a floating sauna community moored at Refshaleøen in Copenhagen harbour, a houseboat with a panorama sauna, changing rooms and lounge areas, plus a floating pool of clean, filtered harbour water used for cooling off between sauna rounds. The core ritual is the Gus session: aromatic water is poured onto hot stones to release steam, in three rounds of about 12 minutes each, guided by a Gus master, with breaks in the outdoor pool and light refreshments between rounds. Glaecier operates as a private members club with an application queue rather than walk-in access; non-members can only visit through ticketed Open Gus sessions held on Tuesday evenings. Members may check in up to ten times a month, and the site lists membership fees by age group plus a one-time start-up fee. There is no sauna landscape with multiple cabins beyond the single panorama sauna, no pool beyond the harbour-water plunge pool, and no mention of thermal or mineral water anywhere on the site. Opening hours on the site (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 6am to 11pm; Tuesday 6am to 6:30pm; Thursday 6am to 5pm) differ from the hours otherwise recorded for this venue.
