O' Balia

An institute born of a thermal town

O'Balia is the dedicated wellness institute of the Thermes de Balaruc-les-Bains, the medicinal thermal establishment that has made this small Mediterranean spa town on the shores of the Thau lagoon one of France's leading destinations for thermal cure. The institute carries the thermal identity of its parent house into a gentler, wellness-focused register, where the emphasis falls on relaxation, care of the body and the senses.

Treatments and thermal water

The current institute, La Parenthèse O'Balia, occupies the fourth floor of the Thermes and opened in March 2024. It offers a full menu of esthetic and relaxation treatments: beauty care for the hands and feet, eyelash enhancement and tinting, and dedicated body and facial care. Its massages are performed with the establishment's thermal water, tying the treatment offer directly to the mineral resource that defines Balaruc-les-Bains. The institute frames its treatments as relaxation rituals drawn from around the world.

The O'Balia thermal wellness spa

Beyond the institute, O'Balia is also the name of the establishment's water-themed wellness spa, a space built around water in all its states and temperatures, from steam to warm pools. It is designed around two experiences: a water circuit combining pools, a sensory basin, a Japanese-style bubbling bath, a caldarium and a sauna, and a hands-and-care circuit with treatment cabins, a private hammam, a tea room, a solarium and relaxation areas opening onto views of the Thau lagoon.

Setting

Located in Balaruc-les-Bains in the Hérault, O'Balia looks out over the Thau lagoon, giving its relaxation and treatment spaces a distinctly Mediterranean, waterside character.
