Rixos-Prykarpattya

Rixos-Prykarpattya is a five-star resort and health complex in Truskavets, Ukraine's most famous balneological (mineral-water) spa town in the Carpathian foothills of Lviv oblast.

Mineral water and mud

The resort has its own pump-room in the main building serving Truskavets-deposit mineral waters, including the celebrated Naftusya — a weakly mineralised hydrocarbonate magnesium-calcium water rich in organic substances of petroleum origin — along with "Maria" water. The wider Truskavets area draws on over 25 mineral springs and local ozokerite ("mountain wax") and highly mineralised Barbara salt used in balneotherapy.

Baths, pools and balneology

The Medical Centre runs a balneotherapy department offering mineral-water drinking cures, therapeutic and pearl/alkaline baths, various hydromassage, inhalations, irrigation and respiratory-tract rinsing, plus aromatherapy, physiotherapy and water aerobics. Water facilities include an indoor pool and an outdoor aquazone with waterslides and a warm children's pool.
