What we collect and why
Account data (name, email, password hash) to give you an account and let you sign in. Content you create, to store and display it. Technical request data, to keep the service running and secure. We do not collect anything we have no use for.
Legal basis
Performance of the contract for account and service data; legitimate interest for security and abuse prevention; consent for any optional analytics, which is asked for separately and never assumed.
Cookies and trackers
A strictly necessary session cookie, and a record of your cookie choice. Nothing else is set unless you accept it. See the cookie policy for the list and the durations.
Who else processes your data
The current list of subprocessors, and whether each one touches end-user data, is published on the subprocessors page. We update that page before adding a provider.
Where your data is stored
Primary storage is in European Union (Germany), with Hetzner Online GmbH. Any transfer outside that region is named on the subprocessors page.
How long we keep it
Account data for as long as the account exists, and then deleted. Crash reports carry no personal data and are pruned after 30 days. Records submitted through the service default to 24 months. A retention period is only a promise until something enforces it, so the scheduled cleanup runs on the same cron as the rest of the housekeeping.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, export, restriction and objection. Deleting your account from the account page removes your data; write to privacy@example.com for anything else. You can also complain to your supervisory authority (Information Commissioner (replace with your country's authority)).
This page is a working skeleton. The facts in it are read from the code, but the final wording has to be reviewed by the owner before launch.
